A Study on The Positive Art Therapy Program on Depression and Self-efficacy of Homeless Alcohol Addiction

|
The purpose of this research was to see how alcohol addiction of the homeless respond to a positive art therapy program that is a combination of two therapies; positive psychology therapy and art therapy. In the research, a total of sixteen use disorders of the homeless cooperated, with eight in the experimental group and eight in the control group. The therapy program was practiced once a week over a twelve-week period. In quantitative analysis, the variables were abstinence of self-efficacy from alcohol, depression. Results of the analysis show that depression was decreased in the group. However, abstinence of self-efficacy from alcohol were not significantly increased in the experimental group than before. In qualitative analysis, K-HTP works for the analysis to analyze the results of pre, and post-test differences. The experimental group showed that positive changes occurred in hope, self-esteem, care for family, stability, and relationship skills. The research shows that this type of art therapy is helpful to the people with alcohol use disorders.
